So regarding the op date - I waited and waited and even decided to wait until after our holiday when it was a month since my appointment but no letter was on the door mat when we got back! So I rang the surgeons secretary who said 'well the problem is they're all booking their leave now'. I took a deep breath so I didn't speak my mind, and then she said what about the 17th July - I took it and thought I'll worry later about childcare, having someone to accompany me and that I won't be on my period!

Luckily, after speaking to my Hubby and my Mum I found out that I was right to take the date as Hubby is off and Mum can come and look after Isaac. Unfortunately my period arrived early this month meaning that it might arrive eary when I'm supposed to be having the op! Nothing is simple is it...but let's just stay positive!
